Nora 11 months

Nora is growing so fast.  She is such a sweet and mild mannered child. She does have her moments when people are bugging her.  She will attack and throw a fit if someone takes her stuff.  She is all better when things are given back.  She is quit funny.

Things she learned this month:
Drink from a straw
Eat only table food
Drink whole milk

Things she did:
Went cross country
Petted her first dog and cat
Meet her grandparents in Arizona
Meet Great Gram and Debbie

Let see what she learns next month

This weekend was a little fun!
I went to go see my brother get his badge for him becoming a cop for the LAPD,
BUT
the times got changed and I missed it.

I WAS BUMMED!

I didn't let that stop me from having a great time.
I said see you later guys
AND
I took my kids to the beach.

It was the best choice ever!
We had a marvelous time.
I took my kids to my favorite places in San Diego.

I took them to the temple.
I love this temple it looks like Cinderella's castle.

James took a picture of me and my girls.

James is becoming a good photographer.  He took this one as well.

Then I took them to the beach a promised.  James LOVED it.  He is a little fish.

Nora was not, too, sure what to think of all the sand.  She was a little nervous.
She found a shell.

James had to find some, too.

This is a great way to remember what he got without bringing them home.

Playing in the sand.

She would not let me go.

She was nervous about the water. When she finally got in she ran from the waves.
It was so much fun to watch her yell at the ocean as she threw mud at it.

She preferred playing in the sand.  She was in sandbox heaven.
She could have stayed there all day and night!

When I was a little girl my dad used to take my sister and I to Seaport village.
I loved riding this merry-go-round.  I could have stayed there forever.

She cried when we didn't go again.

Think she was having fun?

James got to dress up as a Mormon Battalion member
at the museum tour.  It is a cool exhibit.  I recommend it the next time
you go to San Diego.  Plus, they take a picture of you at the end of the tour.
It is a cute free picture.  I will have to scan it.

Mining for gold.

The Sisters were really sweet and helpful.  They had a blast
looking for fouls gold.  They even got to keep a piece each.

I will just say that I had so much fun that I want to go back.  One day if Adam got a job there I would not cry.  I forgot how much I loved Southern Cali.  I could have stayed on the beach all day.  I missed the way the ocean smelled.  I missed how I could taste the ocean as I breathed it in.  I felt like I was ten years old again.  I don't remember a lot about being a little kid, but that smell took me back.  The only thing that was missing was my husband and my dad, mom, and siblings.  It would have been a little bit more fun.
I hope to see the Pacific again, SOON!

Next time, I am going surfing.  Just saying.  It was a huge bummer watching the surfers and not being able to join them.  I am so going to play with them and the waves next time.
