Just playing around

Cold day at the park, but we still played after our walk.

Happy late birthday pictures

Adam's and my birthdays were really great. Adam was so surprised to get a cake and gifts for his birthday. He really didn't expect anything. I was really surprised to see my orange frosting carrot cake. It made me smile really big. When the cake was cute I saw the purple inner frosting. I was so very happy. Thanks Momsicle, that's Adam's mom. I need to get pictures from Adam's mom's camera of my cake, but here are some of Adam's cake.

When I saw this I thought of all of you

I found this awesome poem in a Sandra Boynton book called Rhinoceros Tap. I recommend anything written by her. We love her books and illustrations. We were reading this book at bedtime when I came across a poem that is from me to all of you that I love. There are a few people out there who will get extreme joy from what I am about to write or what is written by Ms. Boynton.

I love you more than cheese

"I love you more than cheese,
my dear.
A Liederkranz won't do.
Mere Roquefort wouldn't please,
my pet,
if I could be with you.

I love you more than cheese,
my dear.
I have no need for food-
no Goudas, Muensters, Bries,
my love,
I'm just not in the mood.

I'd give up Provolone
if you would have it so.
If you'd give me a
kiss, please,
then Swiss Cheese
I'd forego.

Of Philadelphia Cream
I need no longer dream,
for I love you more
than cheese."

I really do love you more than cheese and don't you forget it.

We finally do it

I remember when Adam and I were engaged we took my brother Andrew out to get his haircut. I think people thought he was our kid. I thought one day we'll have a little boy and we'll be taking him to get his haircut and today was that day. James got his first haircut at Great Clips. I would have liked to have gone to Penny's, but we had a coupon and Great Clips was closer. He did a great job with his stylist. He sat there, for the most part, and let her trim of his girlish hair (we had a few people comment on how cute "she" is). He enjoyed three suckers only because two of them got
hair all over them. Jane, the stylist, thought he was so cute and really good for his first time.

A quick shot before the deed is done.

Happy as a clam...

He was even happier to have a sucker. I think that made the whole trip worth it.

We hope you enjoyed getting James' first haircut with us.
