Update

It has been a while since I have posted.  I have been too busy trying to get my life ready for a crazy fall.  I have craft shows coming up and children to care for.  It is hard work.  Oh, yeah I also have to clean my house in there.  That sometimes is the last thing I do.

Yeah the very LAST thing.

So Update:
James: Started Pre-k at our local elementary school.
LOVES IT!
I drove him for like the first two weeks.
Yup that ended.
Now he rides the bus.

His school is under construction and goes to school about 15 min away, but traffic is a pain!
Gas.
Need I say more.

He LOVES the bus!
He also LOVES eating the cafeteria food.
Complaining? Nope.  HE doesn't like what I make anyways.

Elizabeth: Started dance classes.  Hates it.  Loves it.  Yes a bite bi-polar about it.
Likes picking on everyone.  Loves TV, sand, paint, making messes, and loving on me.

Nora: Is a climber.  Everything she can climb she does then when she is stuck she cries for me to find her.
She loves things her way.
Don't mess with her.
She also loves to CUDDLE!!!
LOVES JAMES!!!
Elizabeth she can take or leave, but I hope this changes and they are stuck at the hip, soon.

Adam: Filled out his Fulbright Scholarship.
Meaning he has to do these paperwork thing a few interviews, etc.
If he gets said scholarship we get to go as a family to Lithuania for 10 months.
He will study and work on his thesis and I will enjoy Europe.
I hope he gets this opportunity.
(PRAY FOR HIM)
This will boost his career in the right direction.

Me: Same old.  Being a mom, having my own little craft business, and joined the PTA.
Now I am a grown-up.
It is actually fun.
I am going to help get some items for James school auction.
I will be making an original piece of art for it.
Hope someone buys it.

That is us in a nut shell.
Until next time.

Nora 11 months

Nora is growing so fast.  She is such a sweet and mild mannered child. She does have her moments when people are bugging her.  She will attack and throw a fit if someone takes her stuff.  She is all better when things are given back.  She is quit funny.

Things she learned this month:
Drink from a straw
Eat only table food
Drink whole milk

Things she did:
Went cross country
Petted her first dog and cat
Meet her grandparents in Arizona
Meet Great Gram and Debbie

Let see what she learns next month

This weekend was a little fun!
I went to go see my brother get his badge for him becoming a cop for the LAPD,
BUT
the times got changed and I missed it.

I WAS BUMMED!

I didn't let that stop me from having a great time.
I said see you later guys
AND
I took my kids to the beach.

It was the best choice ever!
We had a marvelous time.
I took my kids to my favorite places in San Diego.

I took them to the temple.
I love this temple it looks like Cinderella's castle.

James took a picture of me and my girls.

James is becoming a good photographer.  He took this one as well.

Then I took them to the beach a promised.  James LOVED it.  He is a little fish.

Nora was not, too, sure what to think of all the sand.  She was a little nervous.
She found a shell.

James had to find some, too.

This is a great way to remember what he got without bringing them home.

Playing in the sand.

She would not let me go.

She was nervous about the water. When she finally got in she ran from the waves.
It was so much fun to watch her yell at the ocean as she threw mud at it.

She preferred playing in the sand.  She was in sandbox heaven.
She could have stayed there all day and night!

When I was a little girl my dad used to take my sister and I to Seaport village.
I loved riding this merry-go-round.  I could have stayed there forever.

She cried when we didn't go again.

Think she was having fun?

James got to dress up as a Mormon Battalion member
at the museum tour.  It is a cool exhibit.  I recommend it the next time
you go to San Diego.  Plus, they take a picture of you at the end of the tour.
It is a cute free picture.  I will have to scan it.

Mining for gold.

The Sisters were really sweet and helpful.  They had a blast
looking for fouls gold.  They even got to keep a piece each.

I will just say that I had so much fun that I want to go back.  One day if Adam got a job there I would not cry.  I forgot how much I loved Southern Cali.  I could have stayed on the beach all day.  I missed the way the ocean smelled.  I missed how I could taste the ocean as I breathed it in.  I felt like I was ten years old again.  I don't remember a lot about being a little kid, but that smell took me back.  The only thing that was missing was my husband and my dad, mom, and siblings.  It would have been a little bit more fun.
I hope to see the Pacific again, SOON!

Next time, I am going surfing.  Just saying.  It was a huge bummer watching the surfers and not being able to join them.  I am so going to play with them and the waves next time.

Dress making

I have been trying to find ways to expand my business. I think I may have just come up with an idea. I made this little summer frock a few days ago and have been making more since! I am trying to get my sewing down right so U can start selling these at the shop I sell to and at craft shows. I have more that are not pictured. I ran out of bias tape. The girls are being good little models. I made these for Memorial day/the Fourth/Summer. I think they look cute, but then again they are my girls so I am bias. I had to make a pattern for Elizabeth's dress because my pattern only went up to 24 months. I think I did a good job for my first time. The one Nora is wearing, that is grey with a few colors, was the second one I made. I just wanted to show off my new skill and my kids. I hope you enjoy!

AWESOME FHE idea

For some reason I could not pin this from it's site. Whatever! This is an awesome FHE idea. I am just telling myself so I can find this tomorrow. You are welcome to use it as well. The kids in primary loved it, even the older ones.

Valentine's!

I know I took these pictures this morning, but I had to have them on my wall!

I went over to Wal-Mart and them printed. I even finished spray painting my new frame so I could put this up before I lost momentum to do it. I love the way it came out.

I had to add a few pictures of the rest of my decor.
My husband is a student so we have a budget. These are last years pillows I made from leftover fabric and the red pillows are from a quilting project (leftovers).

Doesn't frugality look awesome!

I am so happy how they look.

Here is our table.
Place mats I got after V-day last year for like $2.
The flowers are a year round thing.
My husband gave those to me when he proposed.
Red carnations are my favorite flower.
