Love the gloves. So I'm still waiting for pictures of the orange and purple cake. I never thought of doing different colors in the middle...as you can imagine my whole cake world just expanded. (Are you surprised?!) I'm totally going to make a cake like that someday! It'd be perfect for a kid's birthday! So, a few months ago Macey's had sales on cake mixes. I got a few, then got a few more, (you know...years supply of food storage of course,) then Macey's put the better kinds on sale like rainbow chip and cheery chip, so I got some more. Anyway, I now have 17 boxes of cake mix in my house and I honestly do not make cake that often. I don't know what I was thinking! That's like a 5 year supply at least!! And they all expire by like, October! So I've vowed that every time I need to bring something to a ward party or something, it is going to be cake. Isn't that hilarious? I don't know what I was thinking, but if someone came in to my house and opened my cupboard I think I'd be pretty embarrassed by the number of cake mixes I have.
In other news...I still miss you. I'm glad we got to talk to other day! We need to do that more often. Hmm.....when can I get to somewhere near you?? I guess we'll just have to wait and see where law school takes us. No updates on that yet :(
Hey, on reading the cake mix storage comment--did you know that if you do that 'suck the air out' storing thing, you can actually store them a bit longer than a year? Plus, you can make a lot more than just cakes out of cake mixes--I have some great cookie bar recipes for them, too. Mmm....If you want any ideas, just ask! Hugs....
